Less than a week ago, we attended the Annual Scientific meeting held at The University of Warwick by the Association of Early Pregnancy Units.

Wow… what a conference! Over 300 delegates from a multi-disciplinary background, all there to not only update and educate themselves on recent changes and advances in practice, but share the good practice and care that is already happening in many early pregnancy units.

Several oral presentations focused on the emotional and psychological support in early pregnancy and listening to the patient’s voice. We heard about medical problems in early pregnancy, embryonic health and the importance of pre-conception advice.

It was reassuring to hear that the eagerly awaited results of recent early pregnancy trials will publish results through out the year of 2018 and underpin our practice and advice given.

We are very much looking forward to developing relationships with contacts we have made throughout the UK and already looking forward to the conference in Sheffield in November 2018.
