Welcome to Somerset Early Scans
We are an experienced team of Doctors, Nurse Practitioners & Advanced Practitioner Sonographers, all with qualifications in Ultrasound.
We are passionate about supporting women before, during and after pregnancy. Since opening in 2014 we have seen thousands of clients and had wonderful feedback about our care. Our Bridgwater clinic is easily accessible from the M5, serving Taunton, Yeovil and Weston-Super-Mare. Our Bath clinic is situated in Paulton to serve Bath, Bristol, Frome, Chippenham and Warminster.
We were rated as “outstanding” for leadership and “good” overall in our last Care Quality Commission inspection. We were runners up in the 2021 Somerset Business Awards for service excellence.
As well as early pregnancy scans we offer middle and late pregnancy scans, Harmony non invasive prenatal testing, gynaecology scans and a fertility satellite service with the BCRM.
We are all clinicians which means we will talk you through your scan as it progresses and explain the findings. We offer longer appointments than other clinics and a very high standard of care.
Covid-19 update 30th July 2021:
We are open for all of our services. With the easing of restrictions we are continuing social distancing, meticulous cleaning and use of Masks/ PPE in line with current guidance for healthcare settings.

Medical facemasks are mandatory, please bring your own or we have masks available on arrival.
To keep others safe, you may not visit the clinic if you have a new cough or fever, loss of smell or taste within the last 10 days, or if a member of your household has had these symptoms in the last 14 days. You may not visit if you are in quarantine or have been told to isolate.

Nor will they come in if a member of their household has had a new cough or fever in the last 14 days, and has not had a negative covid swab. They will be wearing masks, eye protection and gloves when they see you.
