FERTILITY CLINIC NOW OPEN

In partnership with the Bristol Centre for Reproductive Medicine we are delighted to announce that our fertility satellite clinic in Bridgwater is now open. Please see our fertility page for more information.

Welcome to Somerset Early Scans

We are an experienced team of Doctors, Nurse Practitioners & Advanced Practitioner Sonographers, all with qualifications in Ultrasound.

We are passionate about supporting women before, during and after pregnancy. Since opening in 2014 we have seen thousands of clients and had wonderful feedback about our care. Our Bridgwater clinic is easily accessible from the M5, serving Taunton, Yeovil and Weston-Super-Mare. Our Bath clinic is situated in Paulton to serve Bath, Bristol, Frome, Chippenham and Warminster.

We were rated as “outstanding” for leadership and “good” overall in our last Care Quality Commission inspection. We were runners up in the 2021 Somerset Business Awards for service excellence.

As well as early pregnancy scans we offer middle and late pregnancy scans, Harmony non invasive prenatal testing, gynaecology scans and a fertility satellite service with the BCRM.

We are all clinicians which means we will talk you through your scan as it progresses and explain the findings. We offer longer appointments than other clinics and a very high standard of care.

Covid-19 update June 2022:

With the easing of Covid-19 restrictions, we still wish to provide a safe and clean environment for our clients. We are continuing meticulous cleaning in-between appointments of our clinic rooms and equipment. Our team are fully vaccinated, and all our clinicians and assistants will wear face masks. In consideration of the guidance for healthcare settings and to ensure continuity of our services, we will be continuing to ask you and your guests to wear facemasks to help us ensure continuity of our services.

In both our clinics. 3 guests may accompany you to your appointment.

Please do not visit the clinic if you have a new cough or fever, loss of smell or taste or any of the recognised symptoms of Covid-19 within the last 10 days, unless you’ve had a negative Covid-19 test. If you have tested positive, please do not visit the clinic in the first 10 days after your positive test or if you are still testing positive. Please ensure that any guests you bring with you also follows this guidance.

Please wash your hands for 20 seconds before and after your scan or use the hand gel provided.

On arrival for your appointment, please wait in your car or outside until we telephone you to come in. Alternatively, the waiting rooms at both clinics are open (except evenings/weekends at Elm Hayes Surgery, Paulton).
