Second trimester reassurance scan £89 13-24 weeks

This scan is to look for the baby’s heartbeat and movements. We will aim to get some lovely images of your baby for you to take home. The images will be given to you as thermal prints (included) or a USB stick (£12).

Second trimester miscarriages are thankfully rare. But if you have had problems in previous pregnancies or been through fertility treatment then the time between your NHS 12 and 20 week scans can feel like a long wait, especially as the baby’s movements are not usually easily felt yet.

Please note that this is not an anomaly scan (anatomy check) and does not include detailed views of the heart and other organs.

This scan is done using the tummy probe (abdominal scan).
